Lenox is a town and part of the Pittsfield Metropolitan Statistical Area in Berkshire County, Western Massachusetts, the United States, located near the Massachusetts-New York state border and 8 miles south of Pittsfield. It is bordered by Washington to the east, Richmond to the west, Lee to the southeast, Pittsfield to the north, and Stockbridge to the southwest. The town was settled in 1750 and incorporated in 1767. The area was originally inhabited by the Mohicans. Lenox Railroad Station, U.S. Route 7, and U.S. Route 20 serve the town.
