Scotiabank Saddledome, formerly known as Pengrowth Saddledome, is an indoor arena located in Stampede Park, next to Elbow River, at 555 Saddledome Rise SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was opened on October 15, 1983, and designed by GEC Architecture. The arena hosts ice hockey games, concerts, and other events. It is the home ground for NHL's Calgary Flames. Scotiabank Saddledome hosted the 1985 NHL All-Star Game, the 1990 Liberal Party leadership convention, the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 2005 NLL All-Star Game, the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships, and the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. The arena is situated 1.7 km southeast of Downtown Calgary.
