Panagia of Kykkos is a beautiful historic monastery and a key tourist spot in western Cyprus, located near the town of Pedoulas, close to the Mount Olympus of Cyprus. It is a large monastery which includes an renovated monastery building, a few churches and chapels, a museum, a small hotel and a rest area. The initial monastery was established in the 11th century, but the building was destroyed by a huge fire. The current site is situated about 1,380 meters above the sea level, and apart of its historic value, it offers truly amazing views to the neighboring mountains.
