Niyazhen, or Niya, is a small historic archaeological site and the ruins of an old town which can be found in the district of Hotan, a part of Xinjiang province in eastern China. The site can be reached by highway G315 and can be easily reached by it. The towhship of Nia is situated about 70 miles south of the historic site. The old town of Niya used to play a very important role of a small station on the Silk Road, and numerous caravans carrying goods from the Far East to Europe used to make a stop and rest in the silence of the town. There were a few valuable archaeological findings discovered at the area of the site.
