Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum (秦始皇帝陵博物院) is a very important cultural spot and historic site known also as the Terracotta Army. It is situated in the county of Lintong near the city of Xi'an in Shaanxi province, China. The site was discovered in the mid-1970s and includes a burial site of the first Emperor of China Qin Shi Huang, surrounded by a large number of sculptures representing the army of the emperor. There are over 8,000 sculptures of various people including soldiers (some of them on horses), as well as nonmilitary people like entertainers, officials, athletes, etc. It is estimated that the site was built in the 3rd century BC. It is a very important tourist attraction in the area.
