Djerdap National Park is a beautiful large national park situated on the banks of the Danube River, near the town of Novi Sip, north eastern Serbia. With the area close to 250 thousand square miles, the park is one of the largest in the country. In a large part of its area, the park faces the border with Romania formed by the Danube river. Established 45 years ago, the park is one of the most visited tourist attraction in the region. It is famous for its interesting fauna which includes a large number of bird species some of those are quite rare like a very rare Dalmatian pelican, etc. The park also includes the area near a small dam which formed a beautiful lake. It is possible to do boating and hiking in the park.
