Borkum Großer Light is one of the tallest lighthouses in Germany, located in the northwestern part of the country, at Strandstraße 28, the town of Borkum. Opened in 1879, the lighthouse is made from bricks and is a little less than 200 feet tall, which makes it the third tallest brick lighthouse in the world. The tower gives double flashing lights of white colour every 12 seconds.
