Located on the Avala mount, Avalski toranj, or Avala Tower, is a telecommunication signal broadcast system located in the neighborhood of Beograd, Serbia. The first tower was opened there in the middle of 1960s, but its was destroyed during the military campaign in Yougoslavia in the late 1990s. After the war it was restored again and opened in autumn of 2009. It is the tallest tower in the Balkans.
