Ajloun (عجلون) is a small town in Jordan, located in the northern part of the country and 19 kilometers northwest of Jerash. It is famous, first of all, with its historic castle, Ajlun Castle/ Qallat ArRabad which was constructed before the 10th century. The Great Ajlun Mosque is another quite famous attraction of the town. Other points of interest in the town include Ajloun Archaeological Museum, The Ajloun Castle Trail, the Ajloun Forest Reserve, etc. The town is also home to Ajloun University College - Balqa Applied University.
