It premiered in Tokyo on June 8, 2009, was released on June 24, 2009, in the US, and grossed $836.3 million worldwide. It was nominated for an Oscar: "Best Achievement in Sound Mixing". It also became the fourth-highest grossing film of 2009. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was shot in Jordan, Egypt, China, France, and the United States.
