Starring Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult, Phoebe Fox, Sacha Dhawan, Charity Wakefield, Gwilym Lee, Adam Godley, Douglas Hodge, Belinda Bromilow, Bayo Gbadamosi, and Florence Keith-Roach, it was released on Hulu on May 15, 2020. The pilot episode of the show was directed by Matt Shakman, written by Tony McNamara. The Great was shot at 3 Mills Studios in London. Filming locations also included Reggia di Caserta in Italy; Hever Castle, Hatfield House, and Belvoir Castle in England.
