Santiago Bridge (Puente de Santiago) is one of the central bridges of Zaragoza connecting two banks of the Ebro River. It cane be found at Av. los Pirineos, right at the historic center of the city. The bridge was constructed in the mid 1960s and inaugurated in 1967. Its construction was сalled by the need for more bridges in the city. The workers who built the foundations of the bridge used to work in short shifts, in pressure rooms, right inside the river bed, to prevent water from entering. Today, the bridge is a very important transportation line of the city.
