Opened on October 17, 2007, designed by ELS Architecture, renovated in 2015, the venue is most famous for being the host of the Primetime Emmy Awards. It hosted The Grammy Nominations Live in 2008 and 2011, the MTV Movie Awards in 2014 and 2015, the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010, 2011, and 2015, the iHeartRadio Music Awards in 2019, the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, and the 2022 BET Awards.
