Starring Paddy Considine, Emma D'Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, and Fabien Frankel, the series is a prequel to "Game of Thrones" which was released from 2011 to 2019. It was released on August 21, 2022, on HBO. House of the Dragon was shot in Croatia, Portugal, the UK, and Spain. Filming also took place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
