Elland Road, formerly known as Old Peacock Ground, is a football stadium and the home ground of Leeds United Football Club since 1919, located at Elland Rd, Beeston, 3.3 miles away from Leeds city center. It was opened in 1897. It is the 14th largest football stadium in England with a capacity of 37,792. Two matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup were held at Elland Road. It was also one of the venues at the 1996 UEFA European Football Championship. Elland Road hosts concerts and rugby league international matches too.
