The film stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was shot in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. Filming also took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
