Starring Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Aparshakti Khurana, the film was released in India on 23 December 2016, and earned $311–340 million worldwide. Dangal was filmed in Dango, Leel, Gujjarwal, Narangwal, and Kila Raipur in Punjab and Haryana. Filming locations included the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex and Symbiosis International University, Pune.
