Anamur is a beautiful Turkish town and the southernmost part of Mersin Province in the southern part of the country. Situated approximately on the halfway from Antalya to Mersin, the town of Anamur is not on of the hottest tourist spots but rather a place for local people to have their summer houses. The town is also an agricultural spot known for its tropic fruit like oranges and bananas. There are a few historic places in the town, including the old Roman fortress, and ruins of an old Roman town, Anemurium.
